Summary edit

Description
English: Second shot of both the "Colyer House," and the driveway leading to it. This house was built in 1819 by Walter Whitman Senior, the father of Walt Whitman, Junior at 26 Mount Misery Road in West Hills County Park in West Hills, New York. A New York State Historical Marker can be seen along the driveway. You would think that a house like this would be on the National Register of Historic Places, just like the birthplace of "America's Poet Lauretta" further south of here, but that's not the case. I suppose the powers that be though making it part of Suffolk County Parkland was sufficient enough for preservation.
