Deutsch: Ehemalige Tongrube in D-96487 Dörfles-Esbach, Landkreis Coburg in Oberfranken/Bayern. 40 Meter tief, Grund- und Niederschlagswasser, keine Zu- und Abflüsse. Über 30 Vogelarten, auch besonders geschützte. Die Tongrube war vom Zweckverband für Abfallwirtschaft in Nordwest-Oberfranken im Jahre 1979 für 700.000 DM nach einem zustimmenden Gemeinderatsbeschluss erworben worden. 1984 wurde dies erstmalig öffentlich bekannt und der Dipl.-Ing. Paul-Heinz Beyer bemühte sich fortan als Einzelkämpfer darum, dass der Beschluss des Gemeinderats und Erwerb durch den Zweckverband rückgängig gemacht wird. Durch unermüdliches Ringen mit hohem Zeiteinsatz durch und von Paul-Heinz Beyer war dies letztendlich von Erfolg gekrönt. Die Gemeinde Dörfles-Esbach kaufte die Tongrube zurück, die in der Folgezeit von der Regierung von Oberfranken als Sekundär-Biotop ausgewiesen wurde. Die Tongrube trägt heute die Bezeichnung Esbacher See und ist von einem Fußweg umrandet. |
