English: One of many dead end branches visited during my 8-day holiday to Slovakia in April and May 2012. Ill make no apologies for numerous views of these 4-wheel railcars which are the staple power for lines like these. Many of the branches are scenic and offer a picturesque view at the termini station. So often the last station is staffed with a red cap, shunter etc. In this case the branch had some active freight workings formed of log traffic.

Taken during the 20 or so minute turn round time is a 3-car unit formation. 813.023 (2-car) and behind, 811.016. These cars have been heavily refurbished from single cars, formerly class 810. The 813s are in fact built from a motor vehicle and trailer, fitted with a gangway. The refurbished cars have considerably better seating than the old plastic bench seats with more modern passenger information systems.
