Description
English: Basilique Saint-Just de Valcabrère - The north portal tympanum . The portal is surmounted by a tympanum where one can see a Christ seated, blessing and holding a book in his left hand. It is surrounded by a mandorla carried by Saint Mark and Saint John; they are surrounded by the other two evangelists Matthew and Luke and surmounted by two angels. On each side of the portal there are column statues representing the deacon Saint Etienne, Saint Just and Saint Pasteur as well as Saint Hélène. Above each statue, capitals recount the martyrdom of the four saints.
Français : Basilique Saint-Just de Valcabrère - Le portail nord : le tympan - Le portail est surmonté d'un tympan où l'on peut voir un Christ assis, bénissant et tenant un livre dans sa main gauche. Il est entouré d'une mandorle que portent saint Marc et saint Jean ; ils sont entourés par les deux autres évangélistes Matthieu et Luc et surmontés de deux anges. De chaque côté du portail on trouve des statues colonnes représentant le diacre saint Étienne, saint Just et saint Pasteur ainsi que sainte Hélène. Au-dessus de chaque statue, des chapiteaux racontent le martyre des quatre saints.
