Description 330-CFD-DN-ST-91-09054: A sailor assigned to the nuclear-powered attack submarine USS Louisville (SSN-724) holds a Louisville Slugger baseball bat commemorating the submarine's role in the Persian Gulf war. The Louisville has returned to San Diego following its deployment to the Persian Gulf region for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, during which it became the first submarine to launch a Tomahawk land attack missile in a wartime situation.
