Description 330-PSA-191-63 (USN 711349): Wreck of USS Thresher (SSN-593). Draft Marks – the numbers “4,3, and 0” used as water line markers on the hull of U.S. Navy ships. The photograph was taken August 24, 1963, by the bathyscaph Trieste 220 miles east of Cape Code during the second series of dives in the search for USS Thresher which sank on April 10th. Photograph released September 4, 1963. (2015/10/20).
