Description
Italiano: Duomo di Milano, L'altare di Santa Caterina, nell'ex cappella Archinto situata nel transetto sinistro, è l'unico altare gotico superstite nella chiesa. Le statue di San Girolamo e Sant'Agostino sono però degli inizi del XVI secolo, e sono attribuite a Cristoforo Solari. Le statuette alla base sono invece della fine del XIV secolo e sono attribuite alla cerchia di Giovannino de' Grassi. Foto di Giovanni Dall'Orto, 6/12/2007.
English: Cathedral in Milan, Italy. Saint Catherine altar, in the former Chapel of the House of Archinto in the left-side transept, being the only gothic altar surviving in this building. However, the statues of Augustinus and Saint Jerome date from the early 16th century, and are given to Cristoforo Solari. The statuettes at the base date from the late 14th century, and are given to Giovannino de' Grassi's workshop. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, December 6 2007.
