English: Leichter Zugkraftwagen 1 tonne Demag (Sd Kfz 10). The Sd.Kfz. 10 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug – special motorized vehicle) was a German half-track that saw widespread use in World War II. Its main role was as a prime mover for small towed guns, such as the 2 cm FlaK 30, the 7.5 cm leIG, or the 3.7 cm PaK 36 anti-tank gun. It could carry eight troops in addition to towing a gun or trailer. Overlord Museum, near "Omaha Beach" and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-mer, chronicles the period of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France during World War II, in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944 (D-Day) until the liberation of Paris on 25 August 1944. Personal items from individual soldiers and armoured fighting vehicles from the six armies in Normandy (Free France, United Kingdom, Canada, United States and Poland against Nazi Germany) are presented as a series of reconstructions showing over 35 vehicles, tanks and guns. |
