Description
English: Fig. 2: Elemental maps of MCZ 1811 head and posterior regions. The specimen demonstrates preferential enrichment of carbon (C) and phosphorous (P) associated with labile soft tissues including the pigmented retina, optic nerves, gut tract, and paired diverticula. Furthermore, the presence of calcium (Ca) in the gut tract and diverticula indicates early diagenetic replacement by calcium phosphate. ey lateral eye, g gut tract, gd gut diverticulum, sn8 segmental nerve 8.
