Deutsch: 50 Pfennig-Notgeldschein der Stadt Köln von 1922, der ein Mitglied der Karnevalsgesellschaft Rote Funken in der Uniform eines Kölner Stadtsoldaten darstellt. Der Soldat vertreibt sich die Zeit, indem er strickt und einen Vogel im Käfig beobachtet. Das Erkennungszeichen des ersten Knubbels der Roten Funken ist der "Streckstrump", der daran erinnert, dass die Stadtsoldaten in Friedenszeiten strickten, um ihren mageren Sold aufzubessern. Unterschrieben von Oberbürgermeister Konrad Adenauer, dem späteren Bundeskanzler. Maße: 100 mm x 60 mm.
English: Notgeld (German for "emergency money" or "necessity money"), 50 Pfennig, issued by the city of Cologne, Germany in 1922, depicting a member of the carnival guard Rote Funken in the uniform of a city soldier from Cologne. As a pastime, the soldier is knitting and watching a bird in its cage. Signed by Lord Mayor Konrad Adenauer, later the first chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. Size: 100 mm x 60 mm. |
