English: Patriarchal cross (gilded silver) with particles of the True Cross, in the Treasury of the Basilica of Saint Servatius, Maastricht, the Netherlands. Upper part (shaft) of the foot of the cross with late Gothic decoration with architectural elements. The Maastricht/Nürnberg silversmith Master Ulrich Peters received the order for this reliquary cross ca. 1490 but he may have only made the foot, using an existing cross. |
