Description
English: Lieutenant John McAloney, Commander of the Assault Pioneer Platoon of Support Company, instructs members of the 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), in operating the Claymore mine at Vung Tau beach before taking part in Operation Hardihood on 24 May 1966. The electrically operated mine has been used extensively in the war against the Viet Cong.
