Deutsch: Der Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) Nationalpark ist bekannt durch seine gestreiften Felstürmen. Die bizarren rundgeschliffenen Sandsteinkuppeln besten aus Sentimentschichten mit unterschiedlicher Härte. Die schwarzen Schichten sind weicher, so dass sich dort Wasser zur Algenbildung ansammeln kann. Die hellen Schichten sind härter und bestehen aus Eisen- und Mangananteilen.
English: .The Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park is known for its striped stone towers. The bizarre round cut sandstones best from sentiment layers with different hardness. The black layers are softer, so that water can accumulate there for algae formation. The light layers are harder and consist of iron and manganese. |
