Summary

edit
Description
English: The town of Pullman was built in 1880-1885 on the plans of architect Solon S. Beman, with the intent of creating superior living conditions for the employees of the Pullman Palace Car Factory. 85 different façade designs were built, each with specific door, window, porch, roof, and masonry details. Shared porches are common, as this pair of lovingly preserved homes illustrate. Several homes are open for touring in October each year.
