| Description |
English: The interior of one of the first class carriages used on The Talisman railtour, which was hauled by the brand new steam locomotive 60163 Tornado. It's a British Rail Mk1 FO (First Open) coach with 2+1 seating (the single seat is the one nearest the camera). The coach was provided by Riviera Trains as part of their Crimson Lake & Cream liveried Royal Scot set. The Talisman was Tornado's second ever main line passenger service, and the first operated as a long distance express, as well as the first trip to London. It's pictured here having arrived into London King's Cross, amid a crowd of onlookers. |
