Description
English: A flamboyant Edwardian Baroque gem, with fluted Ionic pilasters, emphatic cornice and banded chimneys. According to Pevsner it is one of its author's, Charles Heathcote & Sons, best city-centre works. Built 1911. Grade II listed. It was built for Eagle Insurance, whose crest survives on the corner. The ground floor was occupied by a chain eaterie, with multiple office units above.
