  • Shield: Vert, a bend wavy Or between a fleur-de-lis and a lion rampant Argent, on a canton of the last a mullet of the first within a square one point to chief of the third superimposed on a septfoil of the first.
  • Crest: On a wreath Or and Vert a dragon sejant Gules gorged with a collar Sable rimmed of the first and grasping in his dexter claw a morning star of the fourth.
  • Motto: SEEK, STRIKE, DESTROY

Symbolism: edit

  • Shield:
  1. Green is used for Armor.
  2. The wavy band is from the Arms of the Rheinprovinz, and indicates service in that area and in Central Europe, while the fleur-de-lis is for service in France and the citation for Colleville.
  3. The rampant lion from the Arms of Belgium represents the citation for Mons Eupen-Malmedy.
  4. The canton represents descent from the 745th Tank Battalion from which these honors were inherited, seven being represented by the septfoil, four by the square, and five by the star.
  5. The Siegfried Line is symbolized by a dragon, the collar about his throat signifying the capture of the line resulting from its breaching by Armor units.
  6. The morning star, a type of medieval war club, alludes to the reduction of the city of Aachen.
