English: LONG TAN, VIETNAM. 8 AUGUST 1966. TREATING A WOUNDED VIET CONG FOUND ON THE BATTLEFIELD AFTER DELTA COMPANY 6TH BATTALION, THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN REGIMENT (6RAR) RETURNED TO THE SCENE OF ITS HEROIC LONE STAND AGAINST A CRACK NORTH VIETNAMESE BATTALION. MORE THAN 200 ENEMY DIED IN THE ACTION.
