Es de tafetán blanco de 143 cm de lado; en el centro, bordado en sedas de colores, lleva el escudo real de José I Bonaparte compuesto por las armas de Castilla, León, Navarra, Granada e Indias, con el escudete de la familia Bonaparte; todo va surmontado por una corona real y rodeado del collar de la orden del Toisón de Oro, que sostiene una cruz de 12 puntas con leyenda en el centro que dice JOSEPH NAP. HISP. ET YND. REX (Orden de España), en las esquinas lleva bordado en negro el número 6 dentro de una estrella roja de ocho puntas. Responde a la tipología del decreto de 24 de marzo de 1810 del Gobierno intruso, y el escudo, al reglamentado el 12 de julio siguiente.

Fue tomada al enemigo en la serranía de Ronda, por la brigada de Marina al mando del jefe de escuadra de la Real Armada José Serrano Valdenebro, en 1810.

Donada al Museo Naval por José Lasso de la Vega, director del Depósito Hidrográfico; ingresó el 30 de septiembre de 1853. Restaurada por Ana Schoebel en 1995.
