  • Transferred to 23d Tactical Fighter Wing, England AFB, LA, 1977
  • Transferred to 57th Fighter Weapons Wing/66th FWS, Nellis AFB, NV, 1982
  • Transferred to 4450th Tactical Group/4451st TS, Nellis AFB, NV, 1984
  • Aircraft lost power while on cross-country flight, 20 Sep 1987. Pilot glided aircraft 30 mi in to Indianapolis, Indiana but got bad information from ATC and came in with too steep a descent. Pilot ejected and aircraft struck a Ramada Inn at the airport, killing 9 on ground. Pilot absolved of any blame.
