Année de construction : entre 1866 et 1875

« Le bâtiment actuel présente un intérêt patrimonial supérieur. D'un point de vue architectural, quelques éléments ornementaux ont bien été conservés, notamment la corniche à modillon, les linteaux et les appuis en pierre. C'est un de ses principaux attributs et il faut les préserver. Historiquement, le lieu se veut également le témoin de l'activité manufacturière de plusieurs fabricants de bottes et de chaussures qui s'y sont succédés durant presqu'un siècle. Du point de vue archéologique, l'emplacement se situe à proximité d'une occupation domiciliaire qui remonte à la fin du XVIIIe siècle ou au au début du XIXe siècle. Toutes ses caractéristiques lui confèrent une forte valeur patrimoniale que l'on doit souligner et préserver. » – ville.quebec.qc.ca
