| Description |
English: The intersection of Pitkin Avenue and 77th Street (Amber Street) in Ozone Park, Queens near City Line, Brooklyn. This intersection is in the vicinity of the mysterious 76th Street IND subway station, which may or may not have been partially built. The pictured building (previously a convenience store, now a real estate and law office) was a central part of an April Fool's joke pertaining to the station. In this comedic conspiracy theory, the large sidewalk patch in front of the store was to have facilitated a stairway down to the station. In fact, this is one of the few buildings in the area that would have predated the station, had it been constructed in the late 1940s or 1950s. |
