| Description |
English: 'Hooke and Pepys'. Robert Hooke's sensational book 'Micrographia' was published in 1665. He made drawings which were turned into engravings of what he could see down a microscope he had made himself. Samuel Pepys bought a copy and said it was the most ingenious book he had ever read in his life. The most famous image from the book is probably Hooke's drawing of the flea.
