English: The 7th century Khimeswar temple is located near the Gujarat coast in Kuchhadi village, northwest of Porbandar. It is complex of historic temples and a Hindu monastery from the Maitraka era (5th to 8th century CE). The monuments here have been re-plastered and painted over in the modern era.

The Khimeshwar temple is significant because it has the best and relatively rare surviving illustration of Vallabhi roof with gable niches mounted on curved shoulder structure. This innovation was further developed in later centuries into great temples found elsewhere in India.

The Khimeshwar temple of Kuchadi is also notable for its cornice and dentils. Similarly, the temple has one of the earliest known chaitya arch like ornaments (gavaksha) near the sanctum door.
