A direct hit on enemy mine-layers is scored by a U.S. Marine “Corsair” with napalm bomb, during close-air support by the First Marine Air Wing flying from USS Bataan (CVL-29) to support UN ground troops in Korea, April 16, 1951. U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2017/01/24).
