A direct hit on enemy mine layers is scored by Marine “Corsair” with a napalm bomb, during close air support by the First Marine Aircraft flying from USS Bataan (CVL 29) to support UN ground troops in Korea, April 16, 1951. U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2017/01/24).
