Description 80-G-465400: MacMillan Arctic Expedition, 1925. Sam Bloomfield, Mayor, Game Warden, etc., of Jacklane’s Bay. Mr. Bloomfield entertained the ship’s company one evening by singing Irish jigs and “Oh What A Surprise” in a high-thin tenor, September 1925. This expedition was noted for the first productive use of aircraft in an Arctic exploration by Americans. The three aircraft were NA-1, NA-2, and NA-3. (2015/10/27).
