Towboat "Joe P. Gills" (doc. # 576107) downbound with a coal tow.

Twin screw towboat "Joe P. Gills" (doc. # 576107, length 138 feet, breadth 44 feet, GM 16-645E7B diesels, 6140 hp.) Built in 1976 by St. Louis Ship, St. Louis, Missouri. The boat was originally named "Joe P. Gills" and operated by Indiana Michigan Power Co. In 1994, it was sold to Marquette Transportation Co., Paducah, Kentucky, and renamed "George King". In 2018, the boat was renamed "MTC Hull". (What kind of name is that?)
