Towboat "Tri-State" (doc. # 537180) tied off with asphalt barges . Ohio River mile 603. Louisville, Kentucky. January 1988. File # 88a016. . "Tri-State" (133x35, twin GM 16-645 diesels, 3800 hp) built 1972 by Greenville Shipbuilding Corp., Greenville, Mississippi. Originally named "Nita Vickers", owned by Vickers Towing Co., Greenville. Sold 1974 to Ashland, Inc., and renamed "Tri-State". Transferred 1998 to Marathon Ashland Petroleum.. Firm name changed 2005 to Marathon Petroleum Co., Ashland, Kentucky. Sold 2010 to Parker Towing Co., Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and renamed "Temple Huckabee".
