English: An Air Force Reserve Unit Hurricane Hunter aircraft investigating the broad area of low pressure over the Bay of Campeche was able to locate a low-level center of circulation. Although the associated showers and thunderstorms are not organized enough to designate the system as a tropical depression yet, the upper-level winds are likely to become more conducive for development and the low has a 90 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone sometime in the next 48 hours. This image was taken by the GOES East satellite at 1915Z on June 28, 2011. |
