Towboat "Megan Beesecker" (doc. # 275253) downbound.. Ohio River mile 605. Louisville, Kentucky. 21-Apr-1999. File # 99d054. . This boat was built in 1957 by American Marine Corp., New Orleans. Originally named "William B. Travis," it was owned by Commercial Transport Corp., Houston. In 1969, it was sold to Igert, Paducah, Ky., and renamed "Laura-Kathryn." In 1981, it was sold to River Services, Owensboro, Ky., and operated by Dyer Transportation Services, Paducah. In 1983, it was sold to Oil Transport Co., New Orleans, and renamed "Bayou Casotte." In 1992, it was sold to Northstar Navigation, Paducah, and renamed "Megan Beesecker." By mid 2004, the boat was out of service, but in 2007 it was sold to Tennessee Valley Towing, Paducah, Ky., and in 2009 renamed "Emma Kate." . 6x9 cm color negative. scanned with Epson V500 flatbed scanner and Epson Scan software. edited with Picture Window 4 |
