Towboat "Robert A. Knoke" (doc. # 567698) downbound. At left is old 18th St. Bridge pier (built in 1856) with recently-built observation deck on top. Ohio River mile 605. Louisville, Kentucky. 7-May-1999. File # 99e020. . Built in 1975 by Dravo Corp., Neville Island, Pa., this boat was originally owned by Flowers Transportation, Greenville, Miss., and named "Gladys Flowers." In 1986, it was renamed "Robert A. Knoke." After being transferred in 1987 to Valley Transportation, St. Louis, the boat was sold in 1992 to American Commercial Barge Line, Jeffersonville, Ind. . 6x9 cm color negative. scanned with Epson V500 flatbed scanner and Epson Scan software.
