| Description | A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4E Skyhawk from Attack Squadron 55 (VA-55) "Warhorses" refuels a Royal Navy De Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.2 from 893 Naval Air Squadron. VA-55 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14) for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 14 April to 15 December 1964. 893 NAS was assigned to HMS Victorious (R38). Both carriers took part in a SEATO exercise off the Philippines in May 1964. |
