English: Simulation of the first AP with 16 z-discs using the (Walker et al., 2014)-RyR model. (A) Shows the three-dimensional 16 z-disc [Casr] by means of a 430 μM isosurface; (B) shows the membrane-potential and the mean myoplasmic [Ca2+]i transient; (C) is a section through the PDE solution at the 8th z-disc from the top with the image colored by [Casr].
