Description
Deutsch: Eifel. Das Hüttenbrennen, teilweise auch als Burgbrennen bezeichnet, ist ein althergebrachter Feuerbrauch in vielen Orten der Eifel. Er wird jedes Jahr an „Schafssonntag“, dem ersten Sonntag nach Aschermittwoch gefeiert. (Aus Zufall ist auf dem Titelbild des Videos ein Gesicht im Wolkendampf erkennbar.)
English: Hüttenbrennen (lit. "hut burning"), sometimes also referred to as Burgbrennen (lit. "castle burning"), is an old-fashioned bonfire custom in many part of the Eifel mountains in Germany. It is celebrated every year on the Sunday after Ash Wednesday.
