English: A2 passing through Eltham. This stretch of the A2 was opened in the late 1980s to create an uninterrupted dual carriageway between the Blackwall Tunnel and the 3 lane section starting at Falconwood. Almost the entire length of the new road passes through a concrete chute like this. Picture taken on a Bank Holiday morning whilst most of London is still in bed -- normally there is a lot more traffic. |
