Twin screw towboat "James Faris" (doc. # 294088, length 79 feet, breadth 27 feet, Caterpillar D398 diesels, 1700 hp [repowered in 2006 with Mitsubishi S12A2-MPTA diesels, 1700 hp.]). Built in 1964 by Greenville Barge Construction Corp., Greenville, Mississippi. Originally owned by American River Lines, Inc., Greenville. In 1966, sold to Ramsey Transportation Co., Greenville. In 2003, sold to Cenac Towing Co., Inc., Houma, Louisiana. In 2004, sold to Low Land Construction Co., Inc., Thibodaux, Louisiana. In 2005, sold to Dubuque Barge & Fleeting Service, Dubuque, Iowa. Operated by Newt Marine Service, Dubuque. Still operating in 2018. . Ohio River mile 605. Louisville, Kentucky. July 19, 2002. file # a2g031. . IMG_0101.
