| Description |
English: A74(M) Curiously named motorway - neither M6 nor M74 seem appropriate for some reason. The motorway was an election bribe in 1987 from the deeply unpopular(in Scotland) Conservative government of the day . It links Glasgow with the English Border at Gretna - however funding to finally connect Scotland to the English motorway system which stopped short of the border was repeatedly held back. The M6 is now being completed and will link up in 2008.
Note a week before Easter, one of the plagues of Summer has appeared. |
