editDescriptionAIS practice skeleton.jpg |
A practice skeleton sled at the Australian Institute of Sport. In selecting a team, potential athletes first practiced the push start, which involves a 30 metres sprint while pushing the sled. This sled does not have wheels underneath - it is only used while the athlete is running on a treadmill. Photo taken by uploader during an AIS open day (Sunday May 7 2006). Permission given by the AIS to use the photo.
