Summary edit

Description
English: Reproduction (replica) of Small Battle Unit Combat Clasp in Gold (German: Kampfabzeichen der Kleinkampfmittel 7. Stufe, Kampfspange in Gold), a World War II German military decoration of the Kriegsmarine, the navy of Nazi Germany (the Third Reich), instituted in 1944.
Robin Lumsden in Medals And Decorations Of Hitler's Germany: The Navy Forgman Clasp: A clasp designed by Ottfried Neubecker and comprising a sawfish surrounded by ropes was instituted on 13 November 1944 for presentation to frogmen and the crews of midget submarines, one-man torpedoes and other unconventional craft which formed the Kleinkampfverbände, or small battle units, commanded by Admiral Heye. The ‘K-Men’ saw action at Anzio in April 1944, and were thereafter engaged in various dangerous waterborne missions on all fronts. The clasp came in bronze, silver and gold for four, seven and ten actions respectively. However, production did not take place before the end of the war.
The K-Verband (in English "small battle unit", derived from Kleinkampfverbände der Kriegsmarine, "small battle units") was a naval unit that operated a mixture of midget submarines and explosive speed boats. It was formed in April 1944 and operated until 26 April 1945.
