Description
English: A woman stands at a water point in a camp for internally displaced people (IDP) as a convoy of the Djiboutian Contingent serving with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) drives past 18 November 2012 following an early morning foot patrol in the central Somali town of Belet Weyne in the Hiraan region, approx. 300km north west of the Somali capital Mogadishu. AMSIOM troops have been this week begun increasing their forces in Belet Weyne since first deploying there in September after the town liberated from Al-Qaeda-affiliated extremist group Al Shabaab in December 2011 by a combined force of the Ethiopian Army and Somali government forces.
