Description
Español: Carta de W[enceslao] Escalante (1852-1912) a Ovidio Lagos (1825-1891) con fecha del 23 de enero de 1879 en la cual expresa su agradecimiento por las cartas recibidas y el trabajo dedicado a su obsequio. Aclara que, aun sin ser eficaz debido a circunstancias insuperables, siente mucha satisfacción. Comunica que el gerente ha procedido erróneamente debido a que desde allí no le habían comunicado satisfactoriamente que la Asamblea corría su reunión del 11 al 20 de enero. Comenta que los accionistas (de acciones nominales o depositadas) han podido otorgar acciones cuando se han presentado. Asume que Lagos ya estará enterado de su nombramiento como Director puesto que se ha publicado en el diario. Manifiesta su conocimiento de la apatía que circula en la sociedad [progreso] debido a ello y le ruega que no lo abandone y trate de animar a los consorcios.
