Thought I would share this from my archives... The clouds opened partially for a few moments to enable me to take this photo of Mount Taranaki (Mt Egmont) from my brother-in-law's farm at Wharehuia. There's an old saying in Taranaki "when you can see the mountain it's going to rain; when you can't, it's already raining!" (The neatly trimmed hedges are barberry (Berberis glaucocarpa) which is an evergreen or semi-deciduous, prickly, yellow-wooded shrub which grows to around 5m) |
