Description
English: A Fool and His Money is a ten-minute black-and-white silent narrative that is the first American film to have an entire cast of Black actors. Not only that, it was produced and directed by Alice Guy-Blaché, the first female filmmaker in the history of cinema. It's also considered one of the earliest race films–a genre produced in the United States between 1912 and the 1950s, aimed at primarily Black audiences.
