| Description |
English: A La Ronde, Summer Lane, Exmouth. This house has 16 sides, and was built for 2 cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter, in 1796. The interior plan allowed them to use each room in turn, following the sun around the house, with the rising sun shining into their bedrooms, then into the morning room etc. It was originally thatched, and a later owner added rooms in the loft and the upper gallery. A very unusual exterior and interior, some of the sash windows are set in the corners, so the rising sash has a corner in it.
