| Description |
English: A Leeds tram at Crich. Another city which held on to its trams like a dog with an old bone was Leeds, where they ran until 1959, using mainly the type of car shown above and known as 'Showboats' or sometimes, 'Horsfield' cars. They wanted to have trams back again in Leeds recently, but chancellor Alistair Darling had other ideas, which of course were cheaper for him but less use for Leeds. |
