Description

We found the bird roosting early in the morning on this perch along with another Pallid Harrier. It didn't mind our presence and we watched it stretch its wing, preen, clean it and slowly fly away. The process is interesting and similar to the other smaller bird that I have seen. The birds preen thoroughly getting their wings in good flying condition before they take off for their breakfast.
