Description
English: Wooden fishing boats in Africa are assets for coastal communities and inland waterways, serves a multitude of purposes essential for livelihood and sustenance. These boats are generally used for traditional fishing activities such as net casting, and trapping. Fishermen use it to gain access to fishing grounds and capture fish and seafood for local consumption and trade. Wooden fishing boats are also a means of transportation in coastal and inland waterways, allowing people, products, and resources to move between villages.
