Description
English: The Damayanti temple in Hyun (हियूंण) is a 10th to 11th century stone temple midst terraced farms between Guptkashi and Narayankoti, Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand.

The odd location reflects the ancient Hindu pilgrimage trail for Kedarnath temple that passed near it. The trail, temples and monuments are historically linked to the Mahabharata legends.

The temple is named after the Damyanti of Nala-Damyanti love story fame. Nala is a small town about a kilometer south of the Damyanti temple. This legend is found in Hindu texts such as the Vana Parva of the Mahabharata.

It is state protected monument and an archaeological site.
