| Description |
English: A lane in Cirencester Park This is a side lane in Cirencester Park, away from the famous central broad ride. It has always been a favourite of mine because it gives an impression of what many country lanes probably looked like in the 19th century.
It is important to note that solely through the generosity of successive Earls Bathurst the public has always been allowed access to this wonderful park, and it is a local and national treasure. The photograph was taken from just inside the next grid square SP0102. The gates to right and left (see the bright strip in the middle of the photo) just about mark the boundary. I intend to upload more photos of this lane later. |
